He can't if you don't believe

I was talking to my friend who has worked at Lagoon the other day. He has been at Lagoon for about 50 years. He's the one who gets me passes so we can take Abby and Spencer to Lagoon. I like to talk to him. He asks me Gospel questions and tells me about his bad back. This time he told me he is going in for cancer surgery next month. He then shared a statement by Elder Holland that really impressed me. It seemed perfect for me and I would like to share it with my family, "Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ-that is the first principle of the gospel. We must go forward. God expects you to have enough faith, determination, and trust in Him to keep moving, keep living, keep rejoicing. He expectgs you not simply to face the future; He expects you to embrace and shape the future-to love it, rejoice in it, and delight in your opportunities. God is eagerly waiting for the chance to answer your prayers and fulfill your dreams, just as He always has. But He can't if you don't pray, and He can't if you don't dream. In short, He can't if you don't believe." Sometimes I have a tendency to think it is my lot to accept the future. To think that I can't control my own future. I guess I need to change my tendency.
I am excited for tomorrow and going to the Farmington Court House and participate in the Big Move with Ryan and Kath and kids. I am grateful for a fun day yesterday riding the train and swimming with Abby and Spencer. Our home is looking better all that time, thanks to my favorite mortal. Thanks to each and all of you. I love you.

Don't believe its me? You have good reason.

So I just went and read the blog for the past few months that I have missed. Nice to finally know whats going on with my family. Congrats on the baby Matt and Jodi. Kyle is in the Phillipines? Who is this Kyle guy that got invited to our family blog?
I am at my new internship in Ogden right now where I work for the Historic 25th Street Assocation. It is a sweet little deal where I get pretty much everything that I was hoping to get in a job. It is close to home, it will give me great experience and a good resume builder, it will pay well, and it goes right along with my interests in marketing and business. I actually have a meeting with the business owners on 25th street for a board meeting. So its good for networking as well.
We are heading plans for the coming school year and I am working alot on Homecoming as of late. I am really excited for some of the plans we are making and I really think that we have the potential of a very memorable successful year with our programming. For those interested, we are looking to book Dashboard Confessionals for the Fall and Brian Regan in the Spring. That would be huge.
I was put in as the 16th Ward Mission Leader recently and I am loving that calling. It has been a good reminder of my responsibilities to invite others to come unto Christ.
Work, Weber, an Ward have been my life as of late. So if you are wondering what T-boy is up to just remember the three w's.

I'm alive!

These kids were a blast. We made fast friends, even though their English was about as fluid as my Cebuano. Virtually non-existant.

I know, it'll be tough to see, but look real close at the guy up top with a green shirt and khaki pants. That would be your son/brother/grandson. Those Provo trees taught me a lot.
On the rainy streets of Dumaguete.

This is Kyle

Family, don't you go worrying your little heads off. I made it through Typhoon Fengshen. If you've been watching the news (which I'm sure Grandma and Grandpa Marler have), there has been a major Typhoon that made landfall a few days ago here in the Philippines. Back home, the newspeople call these things Hurricanes. I'm not sure why the different naming, but from what I gather, they're the same thing. Anyway, on Thursday I was in a place called Cadiz and it started raining. Well, it is now Monday morning and the rain is just barely beginning to let up. I had a flight that was supposed to leave Dumaguete bound for Manila on Saturday morning, but it got canceled. I missed a fireside Saturday night and I finally left for Manila on Sunday afternoon. It turns out they canceled church in Manila on Sunday and canceled the fireside we were supposed to have on Sunday night. There's been lots of flooding and as you probably have seen on the news, there was a ferry boat with like 700 passengers aboard that capsized and so far they've only rescued like 30 of them. Crazy times out here. Very crazy times. But I did want you all to know that I'm okay. I don't have any firesides tonight and I'm in Manila. I'm going to the American Memorial Cemetery right now and I'm hoping to make it to the temple tomorrow morning. I love you all!

From GMA & ibmom

Dear Family,

Wow, I just read the blog. So glad to hear from Brynley and love her feelings about working out in the open and her job in general. Loved to read Kyle's blog about the Phillipines with pictures and everything. Kyle, you're having a blast helping people and an experience of a lifetime. Hope you do make it to AZ. before NY. It's 9:26 a.m. here and about 95 degrees outside. We love it cause the house is nice and comfortable at 79 degrees. We had Brimley Family Home Evening over here Fri. evening. Merwin came. He is suffering with Cancer of the pancreas and may only have another month. So it was so good to have him come. His daughter, Lucille brought him over. She has moved right in his house so he can stay at home. She is a secretary in a law firm and they let her pick her hours. Luana went with me to a barbecue place and picked up some barbecued pork and some beans. Then she helped me set the table and make the salad. We have a good family and it was enjoyable. Then yesterday, I went over to a 90th birthday party for a man in our branch. He's a good man and had lots of his family there. Then I get to give the opening prayer at Sacrament Meeting. It's been a busy week and I'm glad I was able to do it. I only wish GPA could be there with me. Got to quit so I can do some Indexing.

Is it summer yet?

Brynley here-
Wow, I sure love summer time, and I'm reminded every day how hot it can get here in good 'ol Utah. But I will not complain, I will take being out in the heat all day on Saturdays for work and most of the other days of the week, sweating, hot, and not quite miserable. It is so much better than looking out an office window, longing to get outside. Salt Lake continues to treat me right. It was good to have a visit from some kid on a scooter last night. (I figue i can say whatever I want about Troy because he never logs onto this thing) But I'll just say it is always great to spend time with my family. Well, I have nothing new to report, just life is good, I love my family, and ya know, the church is true, there are things that point to God and his goodness everyday. I'm greatful for truth, love you all!

It's Kyle......I'm still in the Philippines.......But I'm not Filipino

It's Kyle. Just so you know. Just so you don't have to go to the bottom of my post to figure out who that guy in the green shirt is, it's me, Kyle.

This is Angela. I was giving her some ideas
about how to get more students in her school.

This is the current class of students at ACE.
They're all tons of fun.

This is me speaking to a packed house in Laguna.
I swear there's people here. It just looks like it's
empty. I promise. No seriously, I'm not just pretending
to be talking to people. Really.

Last weekend I traveled to a place called Laguna
to give a fireside and talk about this competition
we're putting together. This is a pic of the countryside
on the way home. There's a lot of green out here.

Maayong Buntag from the Philippines!! Hello to all you wild Poll bloggers! In case you didn’t catch the memo, I’m in the Philippines right now. Yup, you got it, Phil-aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa-PEEEEEEENES! I’ve gotta tell you I’m so glad I came. This has been a wonderful experience and a fabulous opportunity to serve. Also, I’m really falling in love with these people. So in all honesty, the first week I was a little disturbed. I was excited to be here, but this Academy is such a well run program and they have such great people that I wasn’t sure if I was really going to be able to add a lot of value. However, as I’ve come to know them better and understand the Academy, I still am amazed at how well it’s run, but I’m seeing a number of places that I’ll be able to help.

I guess the most exciting piece of news is that I’ll be traveling a ton! In fact, right now I’m on a flight from Manila back to Cebu (Cebu is where I live). We left this morning at 4am (I left my house at 2am) for Manila and then took a 3 hour car ride to a place called Laguna. Today we officially launched the Entrepreneur Academy Awards. This is the main project that I’ve been asked to help with and it’s basically an Entrepreneur of the Year competition for all of the 1,500+ graduates of ACE (the Academy for Creating Enterprise). It will be held in October, but right now we’re going all over the Philippines holding firesides and seminars to let the people know about the competition. I’m teaching a little seminar about financial planning and investing. I spent a lot of time last week investigating different investment options here in the Philippines, and now I’m letting people know about it. I told the story this morning about when I flooded the basement. You all remember that? That was funny……………….riiiiiight Dad?

Anyway, it’s going to be really neat traveling throughout these beautiful islands and meeting these amazing people. It’s so cool hearing the stories of what a difference this ACE program has made in their lives. Some of them have started wonderful businesses and are making a great income all thanks to what they learned in the academy. Well, here’s a little sampling of a few things that are just a little different about living in the Philippines.

Have I told you about some of the things that are just different here in the Philippines? Well, let me tell you a few. They LOVE soft rock, especially anything that resembles, Bryan Adams, Whitney Houston, Air Supply, Chicago, and music of the sort. They honk a lot. The streets are filled with the sweet sound of horns honking. There are birds in the airport. As I speak, two little birds are hopping around not two feet from my feet. Whoa! One just flew right under my legs. Motorcycles and tricycles are everywhere. A major form of transportation is riding on the back of a motorcycle taxi. They also have these motorcycles and bicycles that are converted to tricycles with a side car for passengers. They pat you down when you go into a mall. When you walk in, there’s a line for men and one for women. Then they give you a friendly pat down before you embark on your shopping endeavors. They speak a lot of languages. Every island has its own language. I don’t understand any of them, but I don’t know how they understand each other and I never know which one they’re speaking. There are beautiful beaches everywhere! Okay, I haven’t seen any yet, but I’ve seen pictures, and they look great. The food doesn’t taste very good. I know, to many, I may be completely off on this one, but boy, I’m still in search of a great meal. Although Pizza Hut made me a great personal pan pizza the other day. People are really nice. I read the other day that Time Magazine did a study with some University and they found that Nigerians and Filipinos are the happiest people in the world. I’ve found that to be true. Lots of smiles, laughs, and happiness everywhere I look. It’s Hot and Humid always! Even when it rains and I’m soaking wet, I’m still warm. I have hot water at my place, but I only use it to shave. I haven’t used it for a shower because there’s really been no need. The cold water isn’t very cold and it feels much better than a hot shower would. Jeepneys. These are these crazy little buses that they use to get around. For about 15 cents, you can hop on the back of this crazy pimped out short bus and they drive like maniacs to get you somewhere. It’s tough to know where you’re going because they don’t speak a lotta’ English and they’re always in a hurry. The smells. Well, let’s just say my nose has had some wild adventures in the last two weeks. Whoa, another bird just almost grazed my head. Touchy men. At first I was seeing a lot of gay guys. But then, upon closer examination, I found out that they’re not all gay, just friends. If two guys are friends here, they’ll walk with an arm around their friend and in church or what not rub each other’s backs and put hands on legs, etc. You know me, that’s a bit outside my comfort zone so some of my friends here have started doing that sort of thing with me and I politely shoot to the other side of the chapel. Yikes! Shirts. Totally optional around these parts. Hey, it’s hot, what do you expect? Shoes, these are also optional. They’re usually replaced with flip flops. I’m not kidding, flip flops are all the rage out here. They use them no matter what their line of work. I’ve seen people working the fields with them, welding with them, doing road construction with them, carrying huge crates of fruit with them, they’re the universal shoe, practical, functional, and stylish all at the same time. The squat. They don’t sit, they squat, just wherever they are, if they need to rest a little, they have this amazing ability to just squat down with their rear hovering inches off the ground and make it look as comfortable as chillin’ in a La-Z-Boy. The weather is nuts. One second it’s scorching hot with blue sky, and the next minute you’re drenched in a torrential downpour, then it’s blue sky again. Well, I think that’s enough for now.

Love you all!

rp- a week I'll never forget

Sadly, there are many weeks that I wonder what I should write in an effort to give something "new". Fortunately though, I don't have such a problem reporting over the past week. I apoligize in advance for the lengthy nature of this post.

This past Monday, I arrived at my office for another week of fun. The financial markets have been quite volatile in 2008, and I was expecting the same for the week. My partner Doug Wheelwright, had a call coming in from Raymond James' compliance department. A couple of weeks ago, he overstepped his bounds as a financial advisor in helping a client transfer his account to Raymond James. The client asked and signed the paperwork to make the change, but in an effort to make the transaction even easier, Doug made a mistake and went too far.

Well, Monday the call came and we both expected for him to pay some level of retribution and then move forward. Well that wasn't the case. Apparently, the regulators from the national agencies got involved and forced a most serious action--- immediate termination.

Doug came into my office right after the call in utter shock. I still can't believe it now, as I've had a week to ponder what happened. Raymond James indicated that they would try all they could and that they'd call Doug on Tuesday to see if anything could be worked out. Well, the call came Tuesday afternoon, and immididate termination was the only option.

Because Doug was the branch manager of our office, without a manger, the office and branch was also to be closed with Doug's termination. I was asked to contact other local Raymond James branches to see if I could affiliate myself with them. Raymond James later indicated that it could take 8-10 days before my new affliation with a new branch would take hold. In essence that would mean I too would be unemployed for 8-10 days, not being able to service the accounts of my clients during this volatile time. In addition, I couldn't answer all of the questions that would be coming in from Doug's clients!! It was definitely a crazy time.

Well this chaos into Wednesday as I frantically looked for another location for be affiliated. My current office would stay the same, my assistant Debbie is still here, but I had to find another branch manager to sign off on the trades that I make on a daily basis.

Wednesday afternoon, Raymond James called to tell me that they had an offer for me. They'd allow me to become the branch manager of my own branch!! Although I haven't passed a couple of supervisory tests and a couple of other little things, they'd cover me while I do this, so the transition would be much smoother for me. They would be able to get my new branch up and running within a day and I'd be off and rolling. That happened on Wed, and by Thursday afternoon, I was up and rolling again. What a huge relieve that was!!

Sadly though, my partner, friend and business mentor Doug is out of the business. This has been an extremely difficult time for all of us. Since he owned his book of business, he sold it to me and now I'll be the one servicing all of his old accounts. Doug sent out of letter on Friday indicating the change and I'll send out a letter to the same people tomorrow introducing myself. Obviously, the goal is to be able to retain as many of Doug's old clients as possible.

So moving forward, I've got a big test that I need to take within the next 30 days. Also, I need to go out and meet 200 new families that I'm not the financial professional for. Of course, many families have more than one financial professional and I need to get in front of them before they consolidate their accounts with someone else.

OK, enough of that for now. As far as our house is concerned, we close this Wednesday. I'm not so sure that we can move in that day, but we will absolutely close on that day. As we know more, we'll let you know.

Happy Father's Day to all of the Father's out there!! Abby is ready to make a post, so I'll sign off and let her sign on.

Love you all,
rp

Late night Wednesday

Hello family
Brynley, we all read your blogs, we just don't write our own. I am going with a quicky tonight. I just got home from the temple. I am really loving my assignment there. Tonight I led the prayer circle at the 8 PM session. I have that same assignment for the next two Wednesdays. It would be cool if members of our family were able to attend a session together and participate in a prayer circle that I was leading. So take a look at your calendars. It isn't a big deal to do it this month because I will get new opportunities every month. I have been missing Mom big time this week, but I have really enjoyed talking to her every night. Troy and I rented a movie on Monday and watched it in the theatre room. It was tons of fun. I hope that you all feel free to come over and watch a movie here. Jackson and Corey came over last Saturday night. We watched a pretty scary movie. Congrats to Troy on the Internship. Troy, get on line and give us some details. They say they are going to put in our yard next week. I'll believe it when I see it. They started on our garage floor today. They should be back to finish in on Monday and Tuesday next week. Our garage is looking great. Our progress has been slow, but things keep happening. Mom has worked so hard and has got so much accomplished. I am anxious to here from our Philipine connection. I hope things are going well for you Kyle. Ryan, keep us updated on the progress on your home. We're counting on a miracle. Closing date a week from today! Well, it is nearly midnight and I turn into a pumpkin. I love you each and all. DAD
ibmom & gma

Hi my family,

These blogs are so neat. Grandpa even got into it and read me most of them last week. He can't write on it until your mom installs the internet or whatever. It is great for him to have his lap top. It takes his mind off his aches and pains for a couple of hours. It's 10:20 a.m. and already the temp. out side is 90 degrees. We shut our front door at 9:00. That's one thing we don't mind is the heat. One thing we mind is the cost of gas and the way food keeps going up. You kids be careful with your travelling and try to keep the car in the garage as much as possible.

I'm looking forward to seeing Joel, Cory, & Jackson coming down in the Avalon tomorrow and Jill coming by plane tomorrow night. The Diamondbacks have had trouble winning on the road. They won from the Mets last night. I hope they win over the Kansas City Royals Sat. night. We also watched LA beat the Celtics.

The kids enjoyed the tour of your house, Ryan and it is getting close to moving time. Good Luck!

I started another class at BYU. D & C. Hope it's easier than the last one. Love, ibmom & gma

Moab is nice!

Brynley

Well, I guess it's time to add an update that nobody will read, but at least I'm doing my duty;) I just had an awesome weekend in Moab with my favorite sister and brother in law. It was nice to have the aunts, uncles and cousins along as well. It was fun spending time with that part of the family and seeing so many similar Poll personalities and Pollisms. We hiked a lot a lot a lot, but if you didn't know, that's something that I quite enjoy, so it was a great weekend for me. I also had plenty of time with lil Carson, man he's a cute baby, he didn't even keep me up...at all. We ate a lot of good food, and saw a lot of arches, and I would consider it a successful few days off of work...that is until I return on Tuesday to see what I've missed. Work continues to go well. I still enjoy it and I enjoy who I work with and most of the kids too. Starting in July, I'll have my Saturdays back, so I'm also excited for that. I hope I can enjoy my Mondays off for now. Well, as always, I'm anxious to hear from my family, I hope all is well with each of you.

Carson will be a Holbrook...Offically

Well we have some dates so get out your calendar systems and put these down in PEN.

On

June 30, 2008 at the Farmington Courthouse at 1:30pm is our Final Adoption hearing. The judge will meet with us and another family and finalize the adoption process of Carson Lee Holbrook. Who is invited to this? If you are a member of this blog you are invited. If you do plan to come, dress appropriate for court (whatever that means).

Now, the next date...

Saturday, July 26, 2008 at the Ogden Temple. 10:00am (be there by 9:30am) Carson will be sealed to Matt and I by Grandpa Poll. Please dress appropriate for the temple:)

Who is invited to this? If you are a Poll, Marler or Holbrook you are invited. It will be a similar group to those who were at our Wedding ceremony plus a few extra friends and a sister and a brother that did not come before.

And last...

Sunday, July 27, 2008 at the Church Street chapel at 9:00 am, Carson will be blessed by his father. Bishop gave an exception for fast Sunday because we will have most our family in town that weekend and we can do it all at once. Who is invited to be in the circle? If you are a male member or this blog you are invited. You don't even have to own a house. We'll still let you in.

He's Back! Kyle Loron Poll, reporting from Cebu, Philippines.

The Prodigal Son has returned. I know, I know, I’ve been such a slacker at writing on the blog. It seems that I should do much better being that I am the one who got us started with the PWW all those years ago. Well, I have no excuses, for we all know what Benjamin Franklin said about excuses…………..don’t we? Okay, so I didn’t know either until I Googled excuse quotes, but here’s a pretty good one: He that is good for making excuses is seldom good for anything else. Therefore, I won’t make an excuse, only a promise to do better.

That said, a lot has happened in my life since I blogged last. In fact, it just took me about a half an hour looking for my last post. I’ll save you the time, it was in February. Jodi has kindly posted a few of my emails since then, but I promise I’ll be better from here on out. Especially since I won’t be too close to all of you for a spell.

As you all know, I graduated from Business School at BYU in April. The last two years of my life have been amazing years. I really learned so much and made some amazing lifelong friends. I’m so grateful for the opportunity I had to study there and for the opportunities that that experience is providing for me.

Since graduation, I’ve done my best to fill my life with as many things to do as possible. I kind of thought I’d be bored once school got out, but as it turns out, I’ve been pretty busy. I ended up getting Lasik surgery the week after graduation. I had planned to wait until after Lake Powell, but that didn’t work out with my Philippines departure date. As you probably all know, this was a very traumatic moment for me. I feel that I grew quite a bit in my 20 minutes on the operating table. I realized that if I can face that, I can really face anything. I made it through and I’m seeing great now.

The next week I went to Lake Powell with a bunch of friends from school. It was a great trip even though I couldn’t get in the water the whole time. That was quite the sacrifice, but well worth it now that I’m seeing 20/15. One of the greatest things about the Lake Powell trip was a girl by the name of Emily King. We had a great time together and we’ve spent a lot of time together since the trip. Turns out I might kind of have a crush on her. You’ve all met her now and I hope you approve. If not, you probably shouldn’t mention it to my face. I’ve got some video footage that shows you what I’m capable of. Thanks to Matt for capturing that priceless moment in the back of the van.

After Lake Powell, I spent a week moving out of my place in Provo and running back and forth from Provo and Centerville. Then I spent an amazing weekend on the Pacific Coast. Adam Lynn, Darren Seegmiller, and I drove out to San Francisco. We met Jason Madsen out there, but he just spent a day in San Fran with us. After seeing Alcatraz, riding bikes over the Golden Gate Bridge, and hanging with the street performers, we were ready for more excitement. We spent the next three days driving up the California and Oregon Coast. We really saw some amazing scenery. We camped a night in the Redwood Forest and we took a zillion pictures. The road trip was a ton of fun, even though we spent 43 hours in little Myrtle (that’s my car). Then we came home and I sold her. I sure do miss that little beauty.

Well, that brings me pretty much up to date. Oh yeah, I’m in the Philippines. I’m out here working for the Academy for Creating Enterprise www.creatingenterprise.com. It’s a non-profit organization that teaches 25-30 Filipino returned missionaries every 8 weeks about what it takes to start a business. The stories of what this academy has done are amazing. They’re really doing a lot to teach these people how to be self-reliant and how to think like businesspeople. I’m going to be teaching some classes and doing some consulting with them in various areas of the academy. My main project, however, is putting on the Entrepreneur of the Year Awards. In October, they’re having an awards ceremony to recognize many of the Alumni of the Academy throughout the Philippines that are now running successful businesses. I’m going to be traveling throughout the Philippines letting people know about this event. I’ll also be speaking at some firesides. I’m thinking about a talk that I’ll call “First Date, First Kiss, First Love”. I plan to incorporate something that I like to call “The Poll’s Passion Profile, the Plan for Populating Planets.” I know, it’s creative, but that’s what it takes to succeed in this line of work.

I’m sure I’ll post more about the Philippines in the upcoming weeks. Let’s just say we’re not in Kansas anymore. It actually reminds me a lot of Chile in many ways. The people are very wonderful. I’m not picking up much of the local language (Cebuano) so far, but I’m pretty fluent in English and so far I’ve been able to get by on those mad skills. Anyway, I think it’s about time to sign off. If you’ve read through this entire post, you deserve an Oreo. I left some at Mom and Dad’s house.

I love you all. Thanks for being the most wonderful family a kid could ever imagine. I thank Heavenly Father at least twice a day for all of you.

Cebuano - Kyle

Hey Fam,
Just thought I’d send you a quick note to let you know I’m alive. I’ haven’t figured out the Skype thing yet, but I’m here and getting started on my work. It was a very long trip and I was pretty tired yesterday when I got here, but I made it through the day. It’s very hot here and the humidity is a killer. I went running this morning at about 6 am and I came back feeling like I’d just climbed out of the swimming pool (which, by the way, we have one at my place). They put me up in this amazing house. It’s got 3 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. It has a guard at the gate and a little swimming pool. I feel kind of spoiled. It even has sweet air conditioning which is kind of essential. I got picked up from the airport and went straight to church which was kinda crazy. People speak English and Cebuano here. But they don’t make up their mind before they start talking, they just speak both at the same time. So I’ll be following right along with every word and then all of a sudden…….wham! Cebuano, I’m lost again. Anyway, we had the orientation for the new batch of students last night and they seemed like a pretty cool group. Just so you know, we’re 14 hours ahead of you out here. So right now it’s 8:30 am on Monday here and I believe it’s 6:30pm on Sunday for you. Well, I’ve gotta jet. I’ll give you a call when I get this whole thing figured out.

Love you all!

Big Month- By the Mom

May proved to be another rip roaring month, filled with productivity and memories.

G'pa Marler is now among the rest of us in Cyberspace. He has our blog linked and can read it anytime he wants. Next time I am down there we will set him up with an email so he can write too. He requested that we put our name in the subject so it is easier to see who it is from rather than waiting to the end to see who wrote. (Make sense?)

Random Events in April/May:
We had a great send-off dinner at Robintinos for KyleeQ before his journeys to the Phillipines and the whole fam damily were there inlcuding Emily King.
Bryn's Faux Birthday!

Philidephia was great...
Kyle and Emily- Kyle to airport to Phillipines
Kyle and Troy are completed with their Lasik and we are very blessed to have both obtain much improvement to their sight...Kyle went on a trip to San Fran and Oregon...Dad and I had great trip to G&G Marler but failed to take any pics...won't let that happen again.

G'pas Birthday helpers!
Thanks to Ryan and Matt for moving 22 190 lb blocks twice! Thanks to Ry for helping on Saturday morning with the blocks and gravel. Thanks to Troy for painting the movie screen and helping to get the theatre room in shape. (Cory and Jackson came Sat night to watch "I Am Legend" and it scared the socks off Jackson...but hey the sound was unbelievable)

Bryn was able to secure some stitches on her eyebrow after what I would guess would have been a real bad softball bounce...we were all sorry to hear of Matt's g'mas quick diagnosis of cancer and her passing...and I'm sure that Michael Marler and Brecklynn could use some extra thoughts and prayers as she considers amputation and all the implications. Shaylee is coming home on June 3rd, for only 8 days, so if the stars align well, we hope to have some kind get-together. There is another opportunity for love, support and prayers as she considers filing for divorce and the emotions that would certainly come from that. Joel, Cory and I will be traveling down to Az for a quick trip on the 12th of June to see G&G and a Diamondback game with G'ma. Life is great, even with all the ups and downs. I love you all so much and relish every time we are together or that I hear what you are all involved in. That is my joy- xoxo MOM
